Honours and Awards
The Honours and Awards is a union-system by which union members, partners, or community leaders are awarded for their contributions and efforts in areas encompassing and related to advocacy, positive societal change, and general human benefit.
The system was introduced in November 2022 with the introduction of a constitutional amendment, which introduced with it the Rideau Honour.

Awards
The Rideau Honour, the first award introduced by the union, is to be awarded to a union member or close partner to the union who has "shown dedication to addressing societal and/or communal issues, and making strong positive change". The award cannot be awarded to someone who currently holds office in the union's leadership, or who has announced or showed interest in running for candidacy for leadership. The award itself is awarded by the union's Board of Directors, and may be awarded for previous years if the award had not been presented then.
